AUSTIN HODGE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
OPEN TO all BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL PLAYERS
The Austin Hodge Memorial Scholarship honors the memory of Austin Hodge, who passed away after a courageous battle with Cystic Fibrosis on March 3, 2023. Austin did not “lose” this battle. He finished the race set before him, and he was welcomed home to the words of Jesus, “well done good and faithful servant.” Victory.
With his unwavering positivity, grit, and integrity, Austin was an inspiration to those who knew him by remaining steadfast even in the midst of the most challenging of circumstances.
"Austin fought the good fight, he has finished the race, he kept the faith. Henceforth, there is laid up for Austin the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, awarded to Austin on that day, and not only to Austin but also to all who have loved his appearing." 2 Timothy 4:7-8
This scholarship celebrates his legacy by recognizing a Texas Twelve athlete who reflects Austin’s character, which includes infectious positivity, grit, and integrity. Additionally, the scholarship is meant to honor Austin’s steadfast faith and trust in Jesus, come what may. Applicants will need to exhibit the same character and commitment to live for the Lord.
This scholarship will be accepting applications Nov. 15, 2026 - Dec. 31, 2026.
Sammy blair MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
OPEN TO all BASEBALL PLAYERS
The Sammy Blair Memorial Scholarship honors the memory of Samuel James “Sammy” Blair, who passed away suddenly on December 14, 2018, at the age of 21. Sammy was a beloved son, brother, friend, teammate, and student who loved God, baseball, and the people around him. A former Texas Twelve player, Sammy continued his baseball career at the University of Arkansas.
Sammy had a tremendous love for sports, a deep love for God, and a sincere desire to share his faith with others. Through this scholarship, Sammy’s family believes God is using his loving nature and passion for sports to continue that mission.
This scholarship celebrates Sammy’s legacy by supporting a Texas Twelve baseball player who reflects the qualities Sammy valued: being a good teammate, honoring God, and using baseball as an opportunity to live out his faith and positively impact others. Applicants will be asked to reflect on their faith, what it means to be a good teammate, and how they can honor God’s will through baseball.
The Blair family hopes this scholarship honors God, supports a deserving Texas Twelve player, benefits an organization Sammy was so honored to be a part of, and pays tribute to an amazing person whose impact continues to live on.

The Texas Twelve Scholarship Program is being built through an endowment-style scholarship fund designed to grow over time through the generosity of donors and supporters. This structure will allow us to continually expand the number of scholarships awarded and increase the level of support we are able to provide to Texas Twelve athletes and families for years to come.
