SUMMER ATHLETIC TRAINING


The Twelve Summer Strength Program is a three phase strength program to maximize the athlete's physical goals and to prepare their bodies for the demands of baseball. The phases will include the following components: foundation of strength, power phase, speed, acceleration, change of direction, and arm care. The program will be taught by former Houston Astros Strength and Conditioning Coach, Alex Pounds.

This program is designed for all ages and skill levels. Each group will be capped to maximize efficiency, so register ASAP.

The groups will be broken down into the following age divisions:

  • High School Grade (2022, 2021, 2020, 2019 grads)

  • Junior High Grade (current 6th, 7th, and 8th grade)

  • Youth Group (current 9u, 10u, and 11u)

SUMMER TRAINING STAFF

Alex Pounds is a former collegiate baseball player at Hill College, El Paso Community College, and Morehead State University. He graduated from Morehead with a B.S. in Excercise Science. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach (NSCA-CSCS). After four years as a strength coach for the Houston Astros, Alex is now the Performance Director of Ollin Athletics and Sports Medicine.

The 8 week program will begin the week of June 3rd and concludes the week of July 28th.

  • High School Group: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays @ 2:00pm - 4:00pm

  • Junior High Group: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays @ 4:00pm - 6:00pm

  • Youth Group: Wednesdays @ 4:00pm

All College Station workouts will take place at 5188 Straub, College Station, TX 77845
