Kevin Hodge - Director of Operations

A 1995 graduate of Bryan High School, Kevin's local heritage in the Bryan/College Station community runs deep. His grandfather (Bill) attended Texas A&M on a baseball scholarship before going to Europe to fight in WWII. His father (Billy), also a Bryan High School graduate, attended Texas A&M and played baseball, football, and basketball for the Aggies. Billy was drafted six times by MLB teams before eventually signing with the San Diego Padres. Several local publications have listed Billy as one of the top-20 best athletes in the history of the Brazos Valley. In high school Kevin was an All-State performer for the Vikings and played showcase baseball with the Austin Slam. Drafted out of Bryan High by the Los Angeles Dodgers, Kevin chose to attend Texas A&M on a baseball scholarship, but later transferred to Rice University. After an all-star performance in the prestigious Cape Cod League, Kevin went on to have a 9-year professional career with the Minnesota Twins, Houston Astros, Philadelphia Phillies, and Detroit Tigers. Kevin completed his undergraduate degree at Texas A&M University in 2006, and he completed his master's degree in Sport Management in 2009. He has worked with youth ballplayers since 2000, and has coached with the Twelve since 2007. He oversees and manages all aspects of Twelve operations. Kevin has also been named an Associate Scout for the Minnesota Twins. Kevin is married to Heather and is the proud father of Austin, Ty (Twelve Class of 2021 - Texas A&M University), and Nathan (Twelve Class of 2024).


Matt Fontenot
Director of Operations

A native of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Matt played college baseball at McNeese State University from 2009-2010, after playing 2 seasons at Bossier Parish Community College. As a middle infielder, he helped McNeese set the school record for team batting average for a season. Following his playing career, he spent time coaching high school baseball as well as club baseball, including a stint with the Twelve. He then went on to serve as the Director of Football Operations for Texas A&M Football under Kevin Sumlin. He received his Masters in Sports Management from Texas A&M in 2013. Matt was hired in January 2018 to take over the day to day operations in College Station.  He is married to Malory and they are the proud parents of son Beckett (Twelve Class of 2033).


Zach Dillon
Director of Operations  

Zach was hired in 2016 to oversee all operations in Katy. Zach played collegiately at Baylor University where he picked up the 2006 Big XII Player of the Year award. He was a four-time academic all conference selection, a First Team ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American, and a 10-time member of the Big XII Conference Commisioner's Honor Roll. Zach played professionally for the Baltimore Orioles. He has coached collegiately at Baylor, Mississippi State, Iowa, and McClennan Community College.  Zach also has an extensive background in camp management, recruiting, and scouting. Zach graduated Magna Cum Laude from Baylor with a Bachelor's degree in Education in 2005. He earned his Master's in Education and Sports Management. Zach resides in Katy with wife Heather, son Will (Twelve Class of 2021) and son Hayden.


Trevor Mote
Director of Operations

Trevor joined the management team in January of 2017. He was drafted as an infielder by the Houston Astros in the 15th round out of Baylor University in 2001.  He played 2001-2005 in the Astros organization and was named a Midwest League All star in 2002.  Trevor Graduated from Baylor in 2005 with a Bachelors of Science.  Trevor played 2 years at Yavapai College (Prescott, Arizona) where he was the player of the year and 1st Team All-American in 1999.  Trevor has 10 years of College Coaching Experience and 8 years as an Assistant at Baylor University.  He is married to April, a former collegiate softball layer at Baylor.  They are the proud parents of daughters Maci Lou and McKinley.

Gregg Bennett - Founder

Gregg is the founder of Twelve Baseball.  His playing and coaching experience is extensive having been apart of high caliber high school and college baseball programs including Tennessee Tech University and Auburn University. Gregg is a tenured Professor in the Division of Sport Management and Director of the Center for Sport Management and Research at Texas A&M University. He is married to Sherry and is a proud father of Mathew (Twelve Alumni 2016 - RHP Samford University), Bailey, McKenzie, and Cade (Twelve Class of 2025).

Mark Mangum - Director of Camps and Youth Development

Mark is a 1997 graduate of Kingwood High School where he was named a Texas All-State pitcher, as well as an All-American. He signed with Georgia Tech but drafted 18th overall in the first round of the MLB draft by the Colorado Rockies and signed to play pro ball.  In 1998, he was traded to the Montreal Expos where he was named the organization's Pitcher of the Year. While playing professionally, Mark routinely held the position of Team Chaplain. In 2003, Mark hung up his cleats and began his college education. Mark graduated from Texas A&M in 2007.  He has coached youth baseball in the Houston area since 2005. He began coaching Twelve teams when he and his wife, Brittney, moved to College Station in 2010. Mark is the proud father of his son, Stone (Twelve Class of 2033).

Sarah Johnson - Operations Assistant

Sarah graduated from A&M Consolidated High School where she was a high school All-American softball honoree in 2010. Sarah played her college softball career for Sam Houston State University. She was a 3-time All-Southland Conference selection, is 2nd all-time career HRs for Sam Houston with 31 career HRs, and is 1st in RBI’s in one game with 7. Also a 2-time Southland All-Academic recipient, Sarah graduated Cum Laude with her Bachelors and Masters degrees in Exercise Science. In 2014, she married Matt Johnson, a former decathlete for Sam Houston and Team USA. Sarah and Matt welcomed daugther Nora to the world in 2017.

Scott Hennigar - Chief Financial Officer

Scott is a 1980 graduate of Texas A&M University where he also earned a Masters Degree in Rangeland Ecology. He began working in the banking industry in 1984.  He currently works as a lending officer at First National Bank of Hunstville Brazos County Bank.  Scott began working as Twelve CFO back in 2007.  In addition to his CFO duties, he has served time as a Twelve youth team General Manager from 2006-2010.  Scott and his wife Sheila are the parents of Stuart (Twelve Alumni Class of 2014 RHP - Mary-Hardin Baylor) and daughter Tara.

Sherry Bennett - Uniforms & Apparel

Sherry handles all of our uniform and apparel partnerships, outfitting, purchasing, and distribution.  She is a 1991 graduate of Tennessee Tech University (Management and Marketing).  She also earned a Masters in Health Promotion from the University of Tennessee.  Sherry knows the ins and outs of the apparel business and has handled this position with us since 2008.  She is married to Twelve founder Dr. Gregg Bennett.  They are the proud parents of Mathew (Twelve Alumni 2016 - RHP Samford University), Bailey, McKenzie, and Cade (Twelve Class of 2025).
